EXPLORE THE BENEFITS OF A

Money Market Fund Assessment

Provides an independent, monitored, third party evaluation of the investment quality of a money markets fund.
Incorporates an assessment of a fund’s published investment objectives and policies, the creditworthiness of the assets held by the fund, the liquidity profile of the fund’s assets relative to the fund’s investor base, the assets’ susceptibility to market risk, as well as the management characteristics of the fund. They are not intended to consider the prospective performance of a fund with respect to appreciation, volatility of net asset value, or yield.
Applies to money market funds globally, which are open-end funds whose primary objectives are to preserve principal and provide liquidity to investors.
FEATURES
Utilizes an assessment scale which differentiates fund assessments from credit ratings through the use of a distinct set of symbols (eg. Aa-mf).
The assessment framework includes use of a scorecard, whose factors may be evaluated using historical and/or forward-looking data, along with other considerations which may be assessed outside the scorecard, including those from our cross-sector rating methodologies, if relevant.
As a result, the scorecard-indicated outcome is not expected to match the actual MMF assessment for each fund.
Typical uses

Money Market Funds are primarily intended for market participants seeking an independent evaluation of the investment quality of shares in mutual funds and similar investment vehicles.
